Not only for its name, but also due to the long traces remaining of circular walls, and the four characteristic doorways, Torrita di Siena is certainly presented like the urban evolution of a fortified castle.
The testimonies of it’s past remains precious and are found in the piazza (Square), where the main building; the Communal Building, the Tower and the Church of Saint Flora and Lucilla (Late roman) with precious work of Siena School can be all found.
In the same piazza you are able to see the Theatre of the Oscuri (XVIII century).
